Jane's Journey

I have been making pots (on and off) since graduating from university twenty years ago. During this time I have worked in several potteries (Winchcombe Pottery, Whichford Pottery, Hook Norton Pottery) I trained and practiced by learning to throw other peoples (very beautiful) designs. For the past ten years, however,  I have been making my own pot designs alongside teaching ceramics in a local college.

I trained as a production thrower and have been hugely fortunate in being taught and inspired by a marvellous collection of incredible artists- Ray Finch, Eddie Hopkins, Jack Doherty, Alistair Young, Toff Milway, Jim Keeling, Victor Hugo, Andy Gill and Liz Houghton- to name but a few!

I make and sell my work locally however I think it could be time to branch out!

Thanks for looking!
